How do I enter the clues correctly?
Put each green letter in the position Wordle showed it (slot 1 through slot 5). For yellow letters, put the letter in the exact slot where Wordle turned it yellow — the solver uses that information to exclude the letter from that position while still requiring it somewhere else in the word. Type all eliminated letters together in the gray field.
What if a letter is both yellow in one spot and gray in another?
That happens when the answer contains only one instance of a letter you guessed twice. Enter the letter in the yellow slot where it appeared in your guess; do not also add it to the gray field. The solver handles the rest correctly because it filters by position.
Why are some unusual words appearing as candidates?
The ENABLE dictionary includes archaic and uncommon words like CRWTH, PYXIE, and KNURL. These almost never appear as actual Wordle answers, but they technically fit the green-yellow-gray constraints. When choosing your next guess, prioritize words you've actually seen before in print or play.
