Premium square multipliers change everything
The base scores above are just the starting point. The real magic happens when a premium letter sits on a double- or triple-letter square, or the whole word crosses a double- or triple-word square.
- A JUKEBOX with the J on a double-letter and the word on a double-word square: (16 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 8) x 2 + 50 = (35 x 2) + 50 = 120 points.
- A QUIZZED with the Q on a triple-letter: (30 + 1 + 1 + 10 + 10 + 1 + 2) + 50 = 105 points.
- A PIZAZZY with a Z on a triple-letter and the word on a double-word: the math becomes absurd — 150+ points.
Bingo probability by rack composition
Not all racks are equal. The probability of drawing a 7-letter bingo depends on your vowel-consonant balance.
